Oh, I remember those sleepless nights! They didn't last as long for me with my daughter. Her reflux was so bad that I stopped nursing at 3 months. I don't respond well to pumping, and she kept barfing it all up anyway. We went with 2 HEAPING tablespoons of rice cereal with 2 oz. of formula. That was the magic--not as much spit up, and finally, some much-needed sleep! Good luck!!!

I LOVE CFS too. And I'm a CA girl since birth. LOVE to make fried chicken too--do it the same way. I can give you gravy pointers if you ever want. I had been craving CFS or fried chicken and just made chicken before Easter when we had the Elders over for dinner. YUMMO!!!

I LOVE your birthday story! Having 2 children born in close proximity to Christmas, this has given me good ideas for celebrating their birthdays--with friends at parties. We still do special stuff for them on their birthdays, but parties have always been probelmatic. Your parents were inspired! And, although I wished you Happy Birthday wishes on FB (I think), Happy Birthday!!! I'm glad it was a good one for you!

I am right there with ya. Around 3 months, C starting eating every three hours at night...and it hasn't stopped...he is now almost 8 months old! I am weaning him at the end of this month, for that very reason. I NEVER GET TO SLEEP. He nurses literally every three hours day and night now. But I agree with you, I don't think it's habit, I think these kids are hungry. C is almost 20 lbs now...he isn't eating for boredom sake, he is eating because it takes a lot to fuel his chubs! Good luck!

Sweet post! It brings back memories ... My "baby" is now in sixth grade, and my oldest is away in college.

BTW From the photo, it looks to me like Noah is at the same school as my sixth grader!
