The Pain in Pop Culture

I am painfully aware of many of the more important topics that I could devote a blog post to right now.

However, I have a thought (which is rare and hard to come by these days) so I am going to share it.

I watched the Kate: Her Story interview this evening. It made me sad.

I saw a woman sitting there. Alone and sad. A woman who has made mistakes, continues to make mistakes (but don't we all?).

But I'm not judging. I'm not in her shoes nor do I have all the information to try and form an opinion.
But what I see is a woman, a mother, sad and heart broken.

It made my heart hurt for her. For her share of the responsibility of current events. For the things she had no control over.

It makes me sad to see any marriage fail. It makes me sad to see anybody hurt.

I don't have any cool or insightful thing to say. A lesson shared or point of view explained.

It just made me sad.

She is definitely in a difficult position. It makes me very thankful for my quiet life.

My heart breaks for her, regardless of her position in society...a mothers/wifes pain, is just that. Pain. I hurt for her too!

It was really sad to watch Kate cry over her divorce. It killed me to watch her so upset over the whole thing and have Jon in the media so nonchalant and unemotional. I do think that she should have put her spouse before her children.. but Jon has done a lot of damage to her. Heart breaks for her.
