Friday Fun Finds!

When I first started Memoirs of a Mommy, I was at a Ronald McDonald House in Denver so Noah could have his Heart Transplant. I had been posting over at Noah's Adventure for a month or so and I wanted to have a place to share my thoughts that weren't related to Hospitals and Hearts.

Back then, I had NO CLUE, not even a sliver of a clue, what the blogging world really was. I never thought anyone other my family and close friends would read my blog. Honestly, I was even surprised to find out when one of them was even reading it. But I kept posting if only to hear my own voice clear my head. I didn't know people in the blogosphere were already doing product reviews or paid posts or earning money from ad clicks. Yet, even then, I published several of my first posts about products that I loved and used.

It is in that mindset that I am starting my new blog carnival: Friday Fun Finds!

Every Friday I will publish a post about a new product that I have recently found or that I am a long time user of. I'm not doing this to earn money (I'm not even a member of any of the product review communities). I simply want to tell you about some of the cool things I use. And I'm such a sucker for trying new things that maybe I've found something you didn't know you couldn't live without!!

So, without further ado, I give you the first episode of Friday Fun Finds!

A while back I went to the salon and had someone other than "My Person" clean up my eyebrows. I should have done this. It would have been better to have some messy brows for another week or so seeing as I left the salon that day with three (yes, count them 1,2,3) eyebrows.

Shortly after this I noticed that I had a section of my eyelashes that had fallen out at the same time resulting in a little hole. So the next time I was at the salon I picked up some RevitaLash.

I applied it once a day before bed to my upper and lower eyelashes and to my eyebrows. At first I didn't see any results but the instructions did say that it could take 6 weeks or so to notice a change.

About a month later I started slacking and forgetting to put it on every night. Even then, about two weeks later BAM! You should have seen those puppies. I had the longest, thickest eyelashes I had ever seen. Oh La La! My three eyebrows? Back to two and not quite so spindly.

The next time I went to get my lashes dyed the woman told me that she had never seen lashes that long that didn't have extensions. I know she must have meant it because I kept hearing her mutter things under her breath about my long eyelashes.

This was several months ago so about a week ago I noticed that my eyelashes were starting to not be as thick and long anymore. Luckily I still have almost a full tube of Revitalash as you really don't use a lot so it lasts forever. I started putting it on again (skipping the eyebrows this time) and I plan on having to-die-for-lashes come the start of Summer.

I had tried a lash lengthener before called Enormous Lash and didn't have very good results from it (I didn't see any results actually). So to see such a huge difference when I didn't even use the product longer than a month was fantastic. Now, just because I didn't have to use it for very long doesn't mean everyone will. This was just my experience and I don't claim it to be anything other than that.

Out of 5 Diamonds I am giving it 4. I took one star off because while it's worth the hefty price tag if you are looking for good results it can still give you a headache forking out the cash. (I spent birthday money on mine otherwise I wouldn't be writing this post.)

  1. $150???!!!! Are you freaking kidding me?? It would have to me a miracle cream for me to spend that kind of money. I'm glad you like it and that it worked for you though....NOT in my budget though.

  2. I was just gonna have you remind me how much it cost until I saw Maree's comment. ACK! Can't afford that! I was SO excited too! It's ironic that I've been telling Gary and others how my eyelashes just don't look thick anymore or stay curled, etc. I've tried a million different mascaras and nothing. Maybe I'll have to save up if it really does work! :)

I love this friday fun finds idea!
