My Father

Photobucket
I have been VERY blessed through out my life. I have been lucky enough to witness miracles, to experience miracles, to love, to learn, to have wonderful family and friends... the list just goes on.

One of the people I am grateful to have been blessed to know is my Dad. He is a strong man both in stature and in nature. He is educated and is continuing to learn new things and build his experience. He is fair. He is merciful. He is loving.

I have learned a lot from my Dad. We are a lot alike is many ways and he always just seems to know the right thing to say (or that I need to hear) to get through to my stubborn mind and heart. There have been several very important moments in my life when I have needed help. Where I had been searching for something and just couldn't find it. And in would step my Dad and say the right thing and it would just click! I mean CLICK!! Why did it make such pure sense this time? Why do I suddenly understand it so much better than I did before?

It had come at times and during situations where I have needed it most. Life lessons that I then carry with me into the next stage of life. A little more prepared and a little more ready.

All thanks to my Dad.

Yesterday was my Dad's birthday. We celebrated with dinner out the night before and a dinner in the day of. We had my Dad's choice; Red Lobster then a home cooked Steak Dinner. We sat and talked and laughed and made more memories.

One more thing to be blessed with. Another gifted year to learn from him.

I don't know if he will read this, but if he does...

I love you Dad. I am so thankful for you and who you are. For the lessons you have taught me both by example and discussion. You have given me a grand foundation on which to build and discover who I am. I am eternally grateful for you and the sacrifices you have made both for me and my husband and children. I love you more than I could properly express through words.
I will forever be...

I'm so glad I saw your blog after you commented on my daughter's stitches. Considering all you have gone through, I am honored you would comment about so small a thing.
