Home School Memoirs - All About Me!

My first assignment for Home School Memoirs 2008-09 is to tell you all about me.

So to start this off on the right foot, I have to come clean. I don't Home School at least not in the way you all are thinking. My oldest just turned 3 and my youngest is 1. So there is lots of teaching going on here at our house just not the kind you were all probably expecting.

I started blogging a little over a year ago right before my son Noah was born. Right after birth, he was diagnosed with a Congenital Heart Defect known as Critical Aortic Stenosis and we had to go out of state so he could receive a heart transplant. While living in a Ronald McDonald House away from my Husband and family, I kept up his blog Noah's Adventure to keep everyone updated on his progress. I started this blog so I could clear out all the other random stress floating around in my head.

It has just grown from there.

I am a work from home (20-30 hours a week aka always working) Mom. I love reading and graphic design and music and all things beautiful. You can learn a LOT about me by reading my 100 Random Things. I have a hard time keeping up on the laundry (I hate it) and I feel like I never get enough done (anyone else feel this way?). I'm trying to raise awareness about CHD's and the need for Organ Donation (See the blog award I created over on my Side Bar??? Sharing the Love! Take it, it's yours.)

I love my family more than anything in this world and I think you have to be a good friend to have one. I also know that Faith is the Foundation for all things good and the only truly free thing in this world is Gratitude.

So... thats about all. I'm excited to be a part of this group. Thank you for inviting me. I hope you don't want to kick me out since my "Home Schooling" status isn't quite up to par.

  1. Crystal,
I have said for years that all the best parents I know have homeschooled in one form or another. They taught their children manners, to talk, to walk, to get along, to write their name and phone number. That is all homeschooling to me. Some of us just take it a few steps further.

It is good to meet you and learn about your family. I'll be praying for your family.
