Shane and I decided that since we had to be apart the whole summer last year (this time last year we were already in Denver waiting for Noah's heart) that we are going to make up for it this year by doing everything we would have done PLUS all the things we would do this year. So in other words, we plan on playing hard. And as far as I can tell, we are on our way.
The day after we got back from Denver last week we loaded the car again and drove 2 hours down to Manti for the Mormon Miracle Pageant (aka the Manti Pageant). My family went with us. We used to do this every year when I was younger and I love going. So we packed a picnic, took a drive, and had some fun. We had a picnic with the family (and unfortunately, the mosquitoes had a picnic on us too.... I've never been bitten so bad in my entire life), then we headed over to the Temple grounds to watch the pageant. For those of you who are not familiar with it, it's basically an outdoor play that tells the story about the Mormon Pioneers and Joseph Smith and some basic history as told in the Book of Mormon. It was so great to be able to go again. And just like I remember going every year, its the starting of my own family tradition where my kids will remember going every year. When we got home at 2 am, we all went right to bed!!
This past week, we also went swimming with Emily's family. This was tons of fun. Her family is so sweet. Her two sisters are in town visiting so I got to see them too. The kids had a great time swimming. Noah has never been but you wouldn't know it with how he was smiling and laughing. And Lilly... well.. she thinks she can swim but you can't let go of her or she sinks. She doesn't make that easy though.
Shane and I also got to go out to lunch a few times, and we saw two movies. First we went on a date to see The Incredible Hulk. I LOVED it!! The first one, I HATED!! It had great actors in it but the movie was horrible. There was nothing about it that I liked. It was just awful. But THIS version I knew I was going to like from the previews and it didn't disappoint. It was so much fun. And I love Edward Norton and Liv Tyler. Definitely a must see. Then last night we got to go out on a double date with our good friends the Tippets (while the kids stayed home and played together... thanks sis!!). We went to see Get Smart. This too was a Great Movie. I laughed SO hard. It was SO funny and not in a "I'm a ditz and stupid" sort of way but more in the "I just have bad luck but I'm so honest and innocent" sort of way.... if that makes any sense. It was fun.
And what does next week hold?
Family coming to visit, The Fourth of July Festivities, Leaving for a 10 day vacation, and a special delivery that I will be posting about tomorrow. YES!!!

Yeah for some great time with your hubby, family and friends. Sounds like a great summer. I love busy and wonderful summers like that. Hope it all goes well and you enjoy every minute of it!
Thanks Crystal for leaving me a note. I have missed the internet our has not been up since the move, long story that I'll blog about when it is up. You family is so beautiful, really. I love packing a lifetime of fun into a moment. We went to Bryce Canyon this past week and had a blast. Let's do a craft night or day soon. Infact how about a scrap day at my house? It's a drive, but well worth it. We have lots of animals for the kids to see and play with.
Thanks again for commenting. :)
