A New Award To Give Away

My precious son Noah would not be here today if he hadn't received a Heart Transplant on 07.07.07.

As you may have recently seen on my side bar, I have finally created a custom blog award!! I have wanted to do this for a long time but never came up with something that "fit". I didn't want just anything. It had to be something that meant something to me. And what could mean more than Sharing the Love by giving you pieces of my heart??

So I created this award in Honor Of The Donor That Saved Noah's Life. I share this award with those of you whose love and friendship have enriched my life and made my world a better place.

I hope by passing this award around the blogging world we can all help raise awareness of the need for Organ Donation.

The rules of this award are: SHARE THE LOVE!!! Share this award with all those blogs out there that you love. All the people who make you smile. All those that make you laugh. All those that make your day. All those that leave uplifting comments on your blog. **All I ask, is that you include a link to this post with the award and ask your recipient to do the same**

So get sharing and then come back here and check out who I am going to be sharing my love with. (I'll be sharing my love within the next few days.)

  27. I was just tagged with this award by giftofgreen.blogspot.com. As it happens, friends of ours had a baby who had heart issues and a number of surgeries in his short life, which sadly ended less than a year after it began. It warms my own heart to hear that your own lovely baby is thriving after his surgery, and I pray that God will continue to bless you all!

I am so glad that little Noah is doing so well and what a delight it must be to see that picture of his glowing face! 30. Sandi just passed this lovely award on to me. I appreciate it so much.

My youngest grandson is Noah. He was born last November.

We lost Noah's brother Elijah, a year before (11/06), to PUVs. His parents, my daughter and son in law, donated Elijah's body to Washington University (St Louis)in hopes this might help solve the mystery of PUVs.

Noah has severe allergies, but is thriving. We are, indeed, so very blessed.

Your Noah is a doll baby. What a sweet face. I'll keep him in my thoughts and prayers.

    Pat

  33. This award was passed on to me and I'm passing it forward. It's a very important issue. I have the organ donor indicator on my drivers license and my family knows that's the way I want it if something happens to me. What a happiness for you and your family.

    ReplyDelete
  34. What a meaningful reason for an award, and a great way to spread the word! All of my family are indicated as organ donors, including the children. We know the importance of the gift of life first hand. I am a 2-time stem-cell transplantee. Not sure if that's the word, but I've had 2! Of course, stem-cells are a simple donation compared to an organ, but they are still life-giving for the patient, and life-affirming for the families!
I may have to steal this idea and do a similar award for stem-cell donation, if you don't mind.

  35. A wonderful idea to spread the word of organ donation. Such a wonderful idea, & look at your beautiful son!

  37. I just received your award. I wanted to thank you for creating it. I don't think I really deserve it but my friend who nominated me does and that means alot. What a sweetie Noah is. I love his chubby checks and his cute hair. Give him a hug for me.

  38. What a great award, It's a great thing to make people think about organ transplants. About 21/2 years ago my 17year old daughter's heart suddenly stopped, she was rushed to the hospital where they kept her alive for about 20 hours. She had suffered massive brain damage, and we soon learned there was no hope. My husband and I were so distraught we could not think straight, and I have regretted so much the fact that we did not donate her organs. Loosing a child is something you just don't think will ever happen to you, and I wish so much that she could have helped someone else not go through what we had to.
