Jen (my sis) said she would watch Lilly one night so Shane and I could go on a date. The thought alone is exciting. A date... alone... with my husband.... YES!!! (it's the little things..)
Wow... the Thunder is so loud. Maybe it will rain and rain and get rid of all the humidity that's been in the air for the past month. I seriously can't stand it. It's like walking around in a constant shower of my own sweat. I complain about it all the time and it drives Shane nuts. He keeps informing me that I've told him a million times. But you see... I just don't want him to forget. ;)
I think for our date I will take Shane to the Cheese Cake Factory. We went there while in Palm Desert for vacation and it was one of the best meals ever. Then, maybe we can go see Oceans 13. I've been wanting to see that but going to movies isn't very high on the to do list at the moment.
Random thought:
I have wished that someone would come in and do haircuts for the people staying at the RMH. It's so hard to find the time to go get it done and it's twice as hard when you don't know where to go cause you have never been here in your entire life... Well, last Saturday I forced myself to walk into a salon and beg them to fit me in. Luckily they did and I was MOST appreciative. Then, today, posted in the elevator... a sign saying someone is coming to give free haircuts on Saturday!! Just my luck. owell... maybe I'll take advantage anyways and trim off another inch or so... I love short hair (probably because I always have long hair.)
Alright... going to go do laundry and clean up before Shane gets here. Thanks to everyone for all their love and support. Nancy, THANK YOU for the care package. Lilly loved the books and the movie, Jen is all excited to go get ice cream now, and I already preordered my Fit Flops!! Mom, THANK YOU for the beautiful card and the Fit Flop gift as well. I seriously never meant anything by my post other than for Shane to get them for me, but I should have known my dear mother and sister would see my want and provide a way. I love you both!!!
And to Jenny-up-the-hill, THANK YOU for sending me the get well card at the hospital. I was shocked to get it and very touched that you continue to find a way to support me and help uplift my spirits. You are an angel!
Its very strange to be called your sister. I don't think of my SIL that way but I do of all of Dally's sisters!!
